Shopping online is no longer a new phenomenon. When paying by credit card on our site, your card details are encrypted for the transaction (using Secure Socket Layer technology, or SSL) - making it more secure than giving your card details over the phone. Additionally, since credit card transactions are processed by Verisign Paynet BEFORE we see them, we never know your credit card number (we only see a few digits on either end, the middle digits show up as X's).
